BETUCO UGANDA LIMITED - About Us

Betuco Uganda Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 17th November 1987 as a brainchild of Mr Joseph Behakanira and Mrs Goodra Behakanira both as Managing Directors and Shareholders.

The aim of Betuco (U) Ltd is to provide high quality services to its clients through their various subsidiary companies. Although a private company, it is based on strong family values among others. The co-operation between Mr & Mrs Behakanira has made the company to succeed in various ways as they are directly and entirely involved in supervising all the activities of Betuco.

For the last 15 years, they have created various companies and branches dealing mainly in the manufacture of high quality textiles observing the highest and strictest standards of quality in all the stages involved. This involves the production of samples of textiles by having thorough knowledge of the latest market trend and the consumers' desires and needs at heart. Mrs Behakanira,a designer herself, is very good at this and through her good business acumen has made Betuco progress very well at the importation of the best and high quality textiles.

Currently, we are the biggest importer of textiles in Uganda mainly from South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and above all Dubai. Apart from importation of textiles we also deal in high quality baby items such as baby cots, toys, pampers,clothing,toiletries found at our JoseMaria Baby shop at the Avemar Shopping Centre; home appliances such as high quality blankets, bedcovers, duvets, flasks, briefcases, suitcases and travel accessories at our Rose Mystique shop also ideally located at Avemar Shopping Centre.

Betuco (U) Ltd also has a department dealing in property development. This has the Avemar Shopping Centre, the first of its kind in Uganda, ideally located in the heart of the city of Kampala on Plot 30 Luwum Street with a capacity of more than 80 shops boasting of a first class Pharmaceutical, Salon and Beauty Centre, Banking Hall and Clinic.

 

J&M Airport Road Apartments and Leisure Centre.

Owing to the astute and steadfast leadership of Betuco (U) Ltd, the company has seen phenomenal growth in different areas. In line with this the company has now embarked on the setting up of a 5star hotel facility.

J&M Airport Roads Hotel/Apartments and Leisure Centre Project, is being constructed on a 160 acre spacious site on the main Entebbe - Kampala Highway, and is located on Bwebajja Hill, approximately 15kms (mid-way) from Entebbe Airport and Kampala City.

Due to its scenery and proposed  unique features, the project will be one of the interesting sites within Uganda as it is being constructed with environmental issues being of prime importance and hence has been designed in a typical African style blended with European Architecture to form a mega commercial-cum-tourist complex.

The project consists of a hotel block with a capacity of over 550 rooms inclusive of 30 Penthouse Presidential, Executive and Deluxe Suites; Apartment block 7 Storeyed structure comprising 30 Oriental design apartment units for both (6) single and (24) Double occupancy, self-service fully equipped with technological accessories and rebounding valley and lake view in a naturally set forest arrangement for floors 1,2,3,4 and 75-90 executive,deluxe designed occupancy rooms for floors 4,5,6. It boasts of 30 luxury self-serviced Harvey thatched family twin bedroom rondavel suites and 6 luxury grass thatched family twin bed rondavel self-serviced, storied units with valley panoramic views. 

The facility will upon completion offer an ultra-modern conference facility with a seating capacity of over 10,000 people set on three levels.

Cave Bar and Restaurant.

Cave Bar and Restaurant is ideally located at the rooftop of the Avemar Shopping Centre with a commanding and breathtaking view of the City of Kampala.

It offers a variety of dishes ranging from the local matooke and kaalo to continental cuisine.Patrons have a variety to chose from at our buffet set out every other day of the week.It also boast of a well stocked Cave Bar offering a wide range of drinks at pocket friendly prices served by the highly qualified staff giving great attention to the customer.
